Last updated August 1, 2026. This describes what we collect when we answer a phone call for a moving company, why we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version

We answer inbound calls on behalf of moving companies. To do that we record and transcribe those calls, pull the move details out of them, and pass them to the moving company you called. We do not sell that information, we do not share it with other movers, and we do not use it to advertise to you. This marketing website runs no analytics and sets no cookies.

Who we are

10xmovers, Washington, DC. For calls we answer on behalf of a moving company, that moving company is the business you are dealing with and we act as its service provider. For our own website and for our client accounts, we are responsible for the information ourselves.

What we collect

If you called a moving company that uses us

  • Your phone number, and your name if you give it.
  • An audio recording of the call and a written transcript of it.
  • The move details you describe: addresses or neighborhoods, building type, floor and stairs, elevator and parking access, certificate of insurance requirements, move date, number of bedrooms, specialty items such as a piano or a safe, and packing or storage needs.
  • Text messages exchanged with that business number after your call.

If you are a moving company that uses us

  • Your name, business name, email address, and phone number.
  • Your business hours, service area, plan, and account settings.
  • Billing details, which are handled by our payment processor. We do not store card numbers.

From this website

Nothing that identifies you. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no cookie set by us. Our hosting provider keeps standard server request logs for security and reliability, in line with its own retention practices.

Call recording

Calls are recorded and transcribed. Callers are told at the start of the call that the call may be recorded. If you do not want to be recorded, you can say so and end the call, and you can reach the moving company by other means.

Recordings and transcripts are stored by our voice provider and by us. They are available to the moving company you called and to us for support and quality work. They are not published and they are not shared with any other moving company.

Why we use it

  • To answer your call, understand your move, and book an estimate.
  • To send the moving company the details so their crew arrives prepared.
  • To text you back if your call was missed, and to follow up about that specific move.
  • To show the moving company its own call and booking history.
  • To fix problems, investigate misuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with other movers or lead brokers, and we do not use call content to target advertising to you.

Who we share it with

We use a small set of service providers, and only for the work described above.

  • A voice platform that runs the phone agent, stores recordings, and produces transcripts.
  • A telephony provider for phone numbers, call routing, and text messages.
  • A database and hosting provider that stores call, job, and account records.
  • A payment processor, for client billing only.

We will also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If the business ever changes hands, information moves with it and we will say so here before that happens.

Text messages

We only text people who called the business first. Messages identify the business by name and every message supports STOP. Reply STOP and the follow-up sequence ends immediately and does not restart. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

How long we keep it

Call records, transcripts, and job details are kept for as long as the moving company's account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward so the company can retrieve its own history. Recordings are kept on a shorter clock than the written record. You can ask us to delete a specific recording or transcript sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

  • Ask what we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct something that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your call recording, transcript, or move details.
  • Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.

Email ross@10xmovers.com and say what you want. We will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm the phone number you called from before we can act, so nobody else can request your records.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers, and access is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we will tell the affected accounts and callers as required by law.

Children

This service is for businesses and their customers. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
