The phone desk for moving companies
Your phone is losing you moves. We answer every call.
Forward every call to us, or only the ones you miss. We pick up at every hour, ask what a dispatcher would ask, and book the move into a window you opened, or hand your dispatcher a request with every detail.
Plans from $299 a month. Setup included. Month to month.
How the AI demo works
- 1Call the number above
- 2Ask about a pretend move
- 3It answers as 10x Movers, our demo desk
Hi, do you move pianos? I'm up on the third floor.
We do. Is there an elevator in the building, or stairs the whole way?
Stairs. It's a walkup.
Good to know, I'll plan the crew for it. What day works? I can hold Saturday 9 am.
Saturday works.
How an after-hours call plays out, start to booked.
The problem
This is an answering problem, not a marketing problem.
- 62%
- of moving companies miss their first call
- 3 in 100
- callers bother to leave a voicemail
- 39%
- industry average close rate on answered calls
- 3 to 5
- movers get the same shared lead. Fastest response wins.
The lead was paid for. The phone rang. Nobody picked up.
How it works
Three steps, and you keep your number.
-
Keep answering your own calls.
Your number keeps ringing you. Forward every call, or only the missed and after-hours ones, at your carrier. We help you set it up.
-
Collect the details while the customer is on the line.
The desk asks what a dispatcher would: access, stairs and elevators, parking and permits, certificates of insurance, pianos and other heavy items, packing.
-
Review the call and take the next step.
Every call, transcript and recording lands in your app with a push. The desk books into the arrival windows you opened, or files a request for your dispatcher.
Built for the calls you cannot take
Useful when you are driving, working a move, on another call, or closed for the day. If your team already answers every call, start by checking whether there is a gap worth covering.
Hear it

10x Movers
Thanks for calling 10x Movers. I can get your move on the calendar. House, rowhouse, or apartment building?
Caller
A rowhouse on Capitol Hill. We're going into a high rise in Navy Yard.
10x Movers
Got it. Most high rises want a certificate of insurance and a reserved freight elevator window. Has your building sent you a move-in packet?
Caller
They sent something. I haven't opened it.
10x Movers
No problem, I'll flag the COI and the elevator reservation so the crew isn't turned away at the door. Now, anything heavy? Piano, safe, pool table?
Caller
An upright piano. And the street out front is permit parking.
10x Movers
Noted, piano and a parking permit. I have Saturday open with the crew arriving between 9 and 11 in the morning. Shall I hold that window for you?
Caller
Saturday works.
10x Movers
Booked, Saturday between 9 and 11. The price comes from the office once a dispatcher has read the details, so nothing I say here is a quote.

Questions
The things a skeptical owner asks first.
Will this answer before I can?
Your number rings you first if you forward only missed calls. Forward everything and the desk answers every call. Your choice at your carrier.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep the number on your trucks and your Google listing. Conditional call forwarding sends us only the calls you miss or the hours you choose, and you can turn it off from your own phone in under a minute.
Does it book a move or just collect the request?
You choose. The desk books an arrival window you opened on the calendar. If your dispatcher assigns times, it collects the move request with the desired date for your team to confirm.
Will it give customers a price?
No binding quote, ever. By default it leaves the number to you. It gives a range only if you set a rate card and turn that on.
What happens if it cannot answer a question?
It says so, takes the caller's name and number, and your phone gets a push so your team can call back.
Will callers know it is not a person?
Some will. It never pretends to be human if asked directly, because getting caught lying on the first call is worse than anything it saves. What matters is the caller leaves with a time on the calendar instead of a voicemail beep. Call the AI demo and judge for yourself.
Do you make outbound calls or robocalls?
No. We only answer calls that come in to your number. We never dial out to a consumer with an AI voice and we never cold call on your behalf. That is why this stays clean under the TCPA, the federal law on automated calls.
We do not send text messages today. If texting is added later, it will only go to someone who called your business first, and every message will carry an opt-out.
Do you work in my city?
Yes. We work with movers anywhere in the US. Setup includes a question pack tuned to your market: parking permits, building certificates of insurance, elevator reservations, walkups. Washington DC was our first market, so it is the most battle-tested.
How long does setup take?
A day or two. The part that needs you takes about an hour: the wizard in the app and the forwarding at your carrier.
Can I cancel?
Any time, yourself, from Billing in the app or on the billing page. Service runs to the end of the paid month and we help you remove forwarding.
Can someone show me how it works?
Yes. Email admin@10xmovers.com with a time that suits you and we will walk you through it in five minutes. Or read the sample above and call the AI demo.
You keep moving furniture. We answer every call and hand you the details.
The fastest way to judge it is to be a difficult customer on the AI demo.
The AI demo answers as 10x Movers, our own demo desk. It is a product demonstration, not sales or support. Nobody calls you back unless you ask.
